About Us

Motivation is a licensed, insured Tour Operator working as Destination Management Company.

The company was founded in Rome in 1986, and since 2000, it is in the hands of two business partners, Paola and Margherita, together with a permanent team and a number of selected partners.


Paola started her career in the United States. Back in her hometown, Rome, she continued her profession at American Express, contributing in first person with Joep van Belle to the creation and development of ‘Motivation’. Paola is Past President of MPI Italia, the Italian chapter of the international association “Meeting Professionals International”.


Margherita started working as meeting planner in Sorrento, her hometown, before happily joining ‘Motivation’ in 1996, contributing to innovation in the company – and continues in this direction developing new activities for the clientele. Margherita is Past President of SITE Italy, the Italian Chapter of the international “Society for Incentive Travel Exellence”.

Today, we still focus on  incentive travels, meetings, launches of new products, special cultural travels and luxury events and travels, also for individual travellers.


Motivation is founding partner of “Meet in Action” an alliance of 6 companies. Thanks to this network of partners, we have created a pool of professionals specializing in every aspect of the meeting industry. The main office of this network is located in Verona with different seats all over Italy.
