This notice explains what personal data Motivation collects when you use this website, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPRâ€).
1. Who we are (the Data Controller)

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as we are not required to under Article 37 GDPR. For any privacy matter you can contact us at the email above.
2. What data we collect and why
a) When you request a proposal or contact us
When you use the “Request a proposal†form or email us, we process the information you choose to provide — typically your name, email address, company name (for travel agencies and partners), and the details of your travel enquiry (destinations, occasion, pace, party size, notes).
- Purpose: to reply to you, prepare and send you a proposal, and manage the pre-contractual relationship and any resulting service.
- Legal basis: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
When you press send at the end of the trip designer, your enquiry is transmitted to us through Netlify Forms, the form service of our hosting provider, and is stored there so that we can retrieve it if an email is ever lost. We also receive it by email. If the transmission fails for any reason, the designer falls back to opening a draft in your own email programme, which you send yourself.
Enquiries held in Netlify Forms are deleted once your request has been handled and any resulting relationship has ended, and in any case within the retention period set out in section 5.
b) Technical server logs
Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) for the time strictly necessary to deliver the site securely and to prevent abuse.
- Purpose: to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security and correct operation of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies at all until you allow it. There is no advertising cookie, no profiling cookie and no social-media tracker anywhere on this site.
On your first visit a short banner asks whether we may measure how the site is used. Nothing is requested from Google before you answer, and declining costs the same single click as accepting. Your answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under mot-consent-v1 — not in a cookie — so that we do not ask again on every page.
If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets these cookies:

- Purpose: to understand which pages are read, from which countries and on which devices, so that we can improve the site.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.
- Advertising features are switched off: Google Signals, ad personalisation and ad measurement are all disabled. We run no advertising on this site.
- Retention: event data is kept in Google Analytics for 14 months.
You can change your mind whenever you like — reopen the cookie choice — or delete the cookies from your browser settings. If you decline, the site behaves exactly as it does otherwise; nothing is withheld.
Fonts are served directly from this website (self-hosted); they are not loaded from an external font provider, so no data is shared with Google Fonts.
4. Third parties and international transfers
To run the website we rely on a small number of service providers who may process technical data (such as your IP address) strictly to deliver the site:
- Hosting provider (Netlify, Inc., United States): hosts the website, processes server logs, and — through Netlify Forms — receives and stores the enquiries you send us from the trip designer. Netlify serves the site from infrastructure outside the European Economic Area (EEA); those transfers are governed by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and by Netlify’s participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4 — Google Ireland Limited): loaded only if you accepted the cookie banner described in section 3. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Photographs: every image on this site is served from our own servers. No external image network receives your IP address or any other data about your visit.
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for third-party marketing.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and contact data only for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting relationship. If no relationship follows, we delete or anonymise enquiry data within a reasonable period (normally within 24 months). Technical server logs are kept for a short period consistent with security needs.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:

7. Complaints
If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), www.garanteprivacy.it, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
8. Is providing data mandatory?
Providing your data is voluntary. However, if you do not provide the information requested in the contact or proposal form, we may be unable to reply to your enquiry or prepare a proposal for you. There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated†date at the top always reflects the current version.
