Motivation is a destination management company in Rome. We build the Italian half of other people’s programmes, and we have been doing it long enough that most of the doors open on a first name.
The company works for agencies, corporate clients and private travellers, on two sides of the same craft: bespoke luxury journeys for people coming to Italy, and incentives, meetings and events for companies bringing groups here. Everything is built to order. There is no catalogue, no departure calendar, and no programme that has been sold twice.
That model has a cost, and we accept it: we cannot take everything. A limited number of programmes run at any one time, each with a senior planner attached from the first brief to the last invoice — which is why the same person who answers your first email is the one standing in the lobby on day one.

We do not sell packages
Every programme is drawn once, for one client. If you want a catalogue, there are excellent companies for that and we are not one of them.
We do not do volume
A limited number of programmes at a time. It is the only way a senior planner can stay on each one from brief to departure.
We do not hide the costs
Proposals are itemized line by line. You can see what each element costs and remove the ones you do not want.
We do not hand you over
One planner throughout — not a salesperson, then an operations team, then a call centre.
We are on the ground
Rome-based, with people physically present for the duration of a programme.

Who is Motivation?

Are you a travel agency?
Not in the ordinary sense. We do not sell packaged departures and we have no catalogue. We are a DMC: the local operator that designs and runs programmes in Italy, usually for clients or agencies based abroad.
